Working in Louviers: a promising region
Louviers has inherited a wealth of expertise and a solid reputation from its proud industrial past, a legacy the town still enjoys today. In 2023, the luxury group Hermès chose to set up its 21st leather goods factory here… 260 leatherworkers and saddlers make bags, leather goods, saddles and bridles in Louviers.
The town is also home to some major pharmaceutical companies (Fresenius Kabi) and food companies (such as Barry Callebaut, the world leader in cocoa processing). A total of 400 businesses are located in the area. In 2023, they announced almost 3,000 new recruitments, mainly in manufacturing and services.
Louviers also benefits from the vibrant economic dynamic of the Seine-Eure Agglomeration. In total, the region has no fewer than 4,700 businesses (including 40 multinationals) and 40,700 jobs (50% of which are in the manufacturing sector).

Learning and studying in Louviers
The town of Louviers is home to 7 pre-schools, 7 primary schools and 3 collèges, as well as one independent school.
Two highschools complete the educational offering. They allow young people from Louviers to pursue further education, with a BTS (Technical Solutions Consultancy and Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management) or a degree (Sales and Marketing in conjunction with the CNAM Normandie).
In addition, the Ecole Supérieure CCI Portes de Normandie (ESCCI Formation) opened its new campus in Louviers in 2023. It offers a 2-year degree in web design, as well as courses in the business sector.
