The extensive grounds cover 14ha in the heart of town. Locals get together here to explore the footpaths, fitness trail and enjoy events.
Espace André Lemaître
Home to the Micro-Folie Falaisienne since 2022. This digital museum introduces visitors to digital versions of 2000 masterpieces from all over the world alongside paintings by the Normandy artist.

Working in Falaise: the world is your oyster
Falaise has over 500 businesses and 4400 employees. Retail in particular is thriving and turning other towns green with envy: it accounts for approximately one thousand jobs whilst the vacancy rate for retail premises is almost zero.
As a historical town in a tourist area, it has job opportunities in the tourism industry: wait staff, household staff, drivers, hospitality and catering etc.
Falaise is also home to some industry icons. Satam, the electronics manufacturer, DOSELEC, the dosing system designer, and MP Vitrage, the glass specialists, are just a few of them.
Falaise Hospital and the personal assistance industry are major employers. They accounted for many of the 1190 vacancies listed by France Travail in 2023: carers, home carers, nurses, doctors etc.
Learning and studying in Falaise
Falaise is home to 2 primary schools (each with a reception class) and one secondary school. The academic scene also includes a private school (reception, primary and secondary). Students then go to collage at Lycée Guillaume le Conquérant which as an art/dance course, Baccalaureate course and several vocational courses.
The local area also plays host to an Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers et des Aides-Soignants (health and social care academy with Falaise Hospital, an IRFA (Normandie Maine) and GRETA (Pays d’Auge).
Last but not least, Caen is just 35km away. The student capital trains over 35,000 youngsters from all over the world at its university and “grandes écoles”.
